About Department

Our Department of Commerce was established in 2019 with the goal of educating students with the skills and information required to thrive in the dynamic and ever-changing world of business and finance. Since our inception we have strived for the same, thanks to our instructor's dedication and hard work, as well as our student's unwavering enthusiasm.

Our department's path has been marked by steady growth and advancement. By adapting to developments in the business sector and global economic needs, we have not only survived, but thrived.
Our Bachelor of Commerce programme provides students with a well-rounded education in commerce, accountancy, finance, management, and economics.
Our programme seeks to deliver a holistic education that encourages critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. We want our students to be well-rounded individuals capable of adapting to a quickly changing business environment and actively contributing to society. As we move forward, we are committed to ongoing progress.
To ensure our graduates are prepared for the challenges of the twenty-first century, we have been adapting our curriculum to incorporate emerging trends, harness the power of technology, and strengthen our ties with the business community by conducting add-on courses, guest lecture series, industrial visits, live research projects alongside our Mumbai University curriculum.
We are convinced that our graduates will succeed in their careers and make a significant contribution to the corporate world. We will work together to reach new milestones and raise the bar for excellence.

Department Aim

To promote academic excellence, holistic development, innovation, entrepreneurship and ethical business practices.

Department Objectives

  1. To foster a research culture by undertaking live projects.
  2. To bridge the gap between theory and practice through industry engagement by conducting guest lectures, add on courses and workshops on taxation (both Direct & Indirect), financial data analysis, IT in commerce etc.
  3. To promote continuous improvement and competitive spirit by holding events and competitions and encouraging ongoing involvement of students.
