1. To provide political science students with knowledge, understanding, and the ability to analyze political phenomena, institutions, and behaviours. 2. To increase the student’s knowledge of the mechanisms of the democratic system with regard to electoral systems, levels of representation, and exercising the right to vote consciously and rationally. 3. To support students’ ability to study and analyze political ideas and their reflection on reality and the political developments that have taken place in political theory, ancient, modern and contemporary. 4. To raise students’ ability to understand and analyze political events on the international scene and the mechanisms and principles of managing international relations and diplomacy. 5. To Develop students’ capabilities in writing political research by raising the scientific ability to use scientific sources and benefit from them in building analytical and forward-looking capabilities for the future 6. Preparing cadres capable of working in state institutions, civil society organizations, and the media. 7. To produce figures who occupy high and sensitive positions in the public and business sectors in the country and abroad in the fields of administration, diplomacy, public relations, journalism, and certainly in research, education, and politics. 8. To Provide the community with the expertise of the department’s professors in holding courses and lectures, completing research, and providing political advice in a way that enhances political awareness in society
